in her nearly empty apartment as she takes a break from packing the
final itms during her family’s voluntary evacuation in the Ulpana
neighborhood in the Jewish settlement of Bet El in the West Bank, June
28 2012. About half the families were evacuated to ‘caravans,’ or large
mobile homes, on June 27, 2012 and the rest today. At least one family
is refusing to leave voluntarily.
A ‘mezuzah’ still hangs on the
apartment’s entrance door.
