Israelis open their homes
Thousands of families throughout the country are happy to open their doors Shabbath for the residents of the South..
The Keren Kehilot Foundation for Community Revival in Israel opened a special center Wednesday in order to help the people of Israel living under the constant threat of rockets.
“Embrace the South” aims to help the residents of the south by matching them up with Israeli families who have opened their homes and offered to host these families, so they won’t have to live within 15 seconds of a shelter and can walk outside without fear.

15 Seconds to save your mama, kids...
Ordinary life goes on in Gaza and in Israel. Then, without warning, the
quiet is broken by rockets fired from the Gaza Strip. It takes 15
seconds for the rockets to explode. That 15 seconds is all the residents
of southern Israel have to get to shelter. That 15 seconds is all they
have to save themselves and the ones they love.

They're shooting at my kids!!!!
by
Tamar Yonah
This is a public letter to the Prime Minister of Israel. It was
written by an Israeli mother in the south of the country who is trying
to raise her family without the constant missile and rocket attacks they
face, whenever the terrorists in the Gaza strip feel like killing Jews.
She wrote this using capital letters, so I am leaving it as is, to show
her distraught.
THEY'RE SHOOTING AT MY KIDS!!!
MR. PRIME MINISTER, WHY ARE YOU NOT PROTECTING THEM???
WHY ARE YOU NOT PUTTING A STOP TO THE TERRORIST ATTACKS ON THIS COUNTRY???
INSTEAD OF ELIMINATING THE ENEMIES OF ISRAEL, YOU TRY TO PACIFY YOUR OWN CITIZENS WITH BAND-AID SOLUTIONS.
YOU CAME DOWN SOUTH AND MADE YOUR APPEARANCE AND THEN PROMISED SOUTHERN CITIZENS FUNDING TO ADD ON SAFE-ROOMS.
BUT THAT WILL NOT STOP THE ATTACKS FROM CONTINUING.
BAND-AID.
ARE THE SOUTHERN BORDERS OF ISRAEL NOT IMPORTANT???
WHY SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO LIVE UNDER CONSTANT ARAB AGGRESSION?
MY KIDS ARE AFRAID TO PLAY IN THE PARK FOR FEAR OF A MISSILE HITTING THEM FROM THE SKY ABOVE.
WHY DO MY KIDS HAVE TO LIVE THIS WAY? WHY MUST THEY LOOSE SCHOOL DAYS???
IS EDUCATION IN THE SOUTH NOT AS IMPORTANT AS IN TEL AVIV???
WHY DO MOTHERS HAVE TO PRAY THAT THEIR CHILDREN WILL RETURN HOME SAFE FROM SCHOOL OR OUT PLAYING???
WHY DO FIELD TRIPS IN SCHOOL GET CANCELLED BECAUSE OF FLYING ROCKETS???
WHAT PARENT IN TEL AVIV HAS TO CALM DOWN THEIR CHILD AFTER BEING WOKEN FROM SLEEP TO A SIREN AND LOUD VIBRATIONAL BOOMS???
SHOW
ME A SCHOOL YARD OUTSIDE OF THE GAZA BELT THAT CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED
TO PLAY IN, FOR FEAR THAT THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO RUN FAST ENOUGH
TO SAFETY???
REGULAR CHILDREN HAVE FIRE DRILLS IN SCHOOL, MINE HAVE ROCKET DRILLS. IS THAT NORMAL???
CEASE WITH YOUR EMPTY PROMISES!!!
OUR SCHOOLS DO NOT NEED TO BE FORTIFIED!!!
OUR CITIES & TOWNS DO NOT NEED MORE BOMB SHELTERS!!!
WE WANT SECURITY, NOT BAND-AIDS!!!
WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO HAVE A NORMAL & SAFE CHILDHOOD!!!
WHERE IS YOUR LEADERSHIP, YOUR STAMINA???
WHERE IS JUSTICE?
HOW LONG DO YOU THINK YOU CAN KEEP ADMINISTERING BAND-AIDS?
SHAME, MR. PRIME MINISTER!!!

Incoming mortar fire at 09:30 Thursday
Following yesterday's terrorist violence and drama (more than eighty missiles, five people injured on the Israeli side, eight residences directly hit) there has been either a lull or a ceasefire, depending on how optimistic you are, in the fire-zone of southern Israel. But after lasting ten hours or so, it ended this morning.
At about 09:30 am, a mortar exploded in the Eshkol region. Times of Israel says there were no injuries to add to the ongoing total, and no significant property damage but there was certainly more terror in the lives of the people living in the 14 kibbutzim, 13 moshavim and three villages that make up Eshkol.
The location is unstated for security reasons, but this residence in
southern Israel was one of eight that took a direct rocket hit yesterday.

Rockets are meant to kill
Since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, terrorists have fired over 8,000 rockets into Israel. Over one million Israelis are currently under threat of rocket attacks.
In 2011, 627 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israeli towns. That’s an even higher number than in 2010, when 566 rockets were fired:

Ceasefire' continues, as do rocket attacks
![]() |

Despite an
Egyptian-brokered ‘ceasefire’ announced earlier this week, terrorists
continued to fire rockets at Israeli territory on Friday.
A Kassam rocket which was fired from Gaza at southern Israel on Friday afternoon landed in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no physical injuries or damage.
The
terrorists took advantage of winter-like weather conditions in the area
to cover up the fact that they were firing a rocket, according to a
report on Channel 2 News.
A
Kassam rocket was also fired from Gaza towards Israel overnight
Thursday and exploded in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council.
At
least five rockets and missiles were fired from Gaza into Israeli
territory throughout the day on Thursday, including a Grad missile fired at Ashdod on Thursday evening. While the Iron
Dome system successfully shot the missile out of the air before impact,
the attack caused concern among local officials and led to the closure of schools across the south.
On Thursday, when schools were open, a rocket hit near a school in Ofakim. No children were wounded in the attack.
The latest terror onslaught from Gaza began last Friday. Terrorists fired more than 200 rockets at Israeli cities in four days.

daily rocket war...
While we say thanks to all citizens of Southern Israel (more
than 1 million) for standing up during the rocket attacks from
Gaza let us remember in our prayers all the children having to run to
the shelters many times during the day and spending in the shelters the night!
This is how they are living in Southern Israel.
The sirens sound and they make for the ground or nearest bomb shelters.
Any other country in the world would simply wipe Gaza off the face of the earth.
Any other country would have beenobviously allowed to freely defend itself from deadly attacks from the world opinion.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem and all Israel.
Praying for the end of the violence and missiles and death coming from Gaza.
