palestinian hole in security fence, but...

An Israeli security official said security forces are altering their previous “silk gloves” approach to rioters such as a group of Palestinians who entered Jerusalem on Friday without passing through a security checkpoint. The Palestinians used hammers to make a hole in the security barrier between Jerusalem and Abu Dis.
The Palestinian fence breach and protest was held as part of events related to the recently held annual Nakba (“catastrophe”) Day, a day on which Arabs mourn the establishment of the state of Israel.
The security fence was put up by Israel as a way of protecting its citizens from attacks by Palestinians from Palestinian-Authority-controlled cities in Judea and Samaria. But despite the presence of the fence, Yehuda Dana, security chief for the Beit El region, told Israel National News that Palestinians are continually “throwing rocks into the community, causing injuries.”
According to the Palestinian protesters, Israeli Border Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at them after they entered through the hole in the fence, and there were several injuries. Dana said such Palestinian rioters were often previously handled with “silk gloves,” but that “their brazenness has crossed the line.”

“They Were Carrying Us”:

Jacky and Tzipi Baldran built Kibbutz Lotem with their own hands and with the help of their children, Yigal, Nitzan and Aviv. Nitsan served as a fighter in the Golani Brigade. His last mission was in Lebanon in November 1998. Jacky says: “at 3:15 am, we heard a neighbor and soldiers knocking at the door. I went downstairs and I immediately understood what was going on”.

of blessed memory

Two years ago, Palestinian terrorists broke into the Fogel family home, in the small Israeli community of Itamar. They brutally murdered Ruth and Udi Fogel, and three of their children. The IDF and the Israel Security Agency brought the terrorists to justice. Today, we honor the memory of the Fogel family.

On March 11, 2011, Israel reeled from the news of the shocking deaths of five members of the Fogel family, brutally slaughtered in their family home in the Israeli community of Itamar. On that night, two Palestinian terrorists from the nearby town of Awarta infiltrated the small Israeli community and broke into the Fogel's home while they slept, stabbing to death the parents and three of their children, including Hadas – just three months old.
The IDF responded quickly to the incident, conducting investigations alongside the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) which led to the capture and arrest of the two terrorists – Hakim Awad and Amjad Awam – who were subsequently tried and convicted of five counts of murder. They are currently serving five consecutive life sentences in prison.
The examination into the incident revealed that the men had links to the PFLP terror organization. Hamas sources praised the vicious attack as 'heroic'.
The Fogel family's tragic story reminds us that the IDF has no option other than constant vigilance against the endless attempts of agents of terror to harm Israel's citizens.
The Military Police Corps' Erez Battalion has recorded a sharp increase in seizures and apprehensions at crossings and barriers in the Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem regions in recent years. This alarming trend represents both the evolving methods of would-be illegal infiltrators, as well as the battalion's growing effectiveness in preventing such intrusions.
Among the apprehensions and seizures have been countless cases of forged identity documents, as well as attempts to illegally smuggle weapons. In a recent incident, IDF forces apprehended a terrorist released during the Shalit deal who was attempting to infiltrate Israeli territory.
In 2012 soldiers from the Erez Battalion apprehended 1,450 Palestinians attempting to enter Israel illegally, a sober reminder that IDF forces are the line of defense, every day  preventing the entry of terrorists planning to carry out attacks against Israeli citizens.

Arabs throw everything they got on MAGAV - border police

The video shows a convoy of Border Police vehicles passing through a street in eastern Jerusalem. Local children and youths proceed to attack the force at close range, hurling rocks and cinder blocks, and slamming various objects, including a supermarket cart, into a jeep.
The Border Policemen inside do not leave the jeeps. All they do is to drive threateningly in reverse on a couple of occasions, and hurl some tear gas canisters.
The IDF has issued extremely strict orders to soldiers, to avoid violence against the Arab population in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem at virtually all cost. These orders are generally seen as the result of a combination of international pressure, leftist behavior by the press, and leftist influence within the Israeli legal system.
As a result, hostile Arabs exhibit brazenness at unprecedented levels. Several similar videos have been posted in recent months, including one showing Arab children throwing paint on an IDF convoy at Nabi Saleh. (Arutz Sheva)
