The five Israelis who were killed during the terror attack on a tour bus in Burgas, Bulgaria, on Wednesday have been identified as: 

Itzik Kolengi (28) from Petah Tikva,
Amir Menashe (28), also from Petah Tikva, 
Maor Harush (25) from Akko, 
Elior Priess (26) from Akko 
Kochava Shriki (44), of Rishon Lezion. 

Itzik Colangi and Amir Menashe were good friends from Petah Tikva. Colangi's wife GIlat gave birth to their first child, Noya, four months ago, and his birthday was two weeks ago. The couple decided to celebrate in Burgas with their friends Natalie and Amir Menashe, who have a ten-month-old son, Rom. Gilat was severely injured and Natalie was lightly injured from the terrorist attack, while Itzik and Amir were killed while packing their luggage onto the bus.
Colangi will be buried Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Segula cemetery in Petah Tikva. Menashe will be buried at the same cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Harosh and Price will both be buried at Nahalat Asher cemetery next to Kefar Mecher at 12:00 p.m. and 15:00 p.m. respectively. Shriki will be buried at the old cemetery in Rishon Lezion at 12:30. Elior Price, a student, and Maor Harosh, an electrician, grew up together in Acre and went on vacation to Bulgaria with another close friend, Daniel Fahima. Harosh and Price were killed, while Fahima was severely injured.
Kochava Shriki of Rishon Lezion, was pregnant for the first time after years of fertility treatments. She gave her family the good news shortly before leaving for vacation in Bulgaria with her husband Yitzhak. After the attack, Yitzhak, who was injured, searched for Kochava in the rubble and in the hospital in Bulgaria, and learned of her death a day later

Four people were hurt, one of them seriously, in a terror rocket strike on the Hof Ashkelon Local Authority Tuesday night. The Maariv website says the injured Israelis are Border Policemen, and that the seriously injured man is an officer.

Forty-four terrorist rockets slammed into southern Israel between midnight and 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Most rockets were of the short range Kassam type but three Grad Katyushas were fired at Netivot.

No casualties were reported but the incessant rocket fire has placed hundreds of thousands of Israeli under siege since yesterday.

The IAF has carried out three strikes on terror targets in Gaza in the last 24 hours, killing at least six terrorists. An IAF strike Tuesday afternoon severely injured a man who was on a motorcycle, Gaza sources said.

Hamas has taken responsibility for the rocket fire at the Negev. It said it was trying to hit the IDF's Zikim base, and that the rockets were a response to IAF strikes last night. No Israeli casualties have been reported but thousands of residents have been forced to spend the day in shelters.

The two terrorists who infiltrated Israel Monday were a Saudi citizen and an Egyptian belonging to a hitherto unknown group called the Shura Council of the Mujahedeen at Al Quds, Associated Press reported. The two appear in a video made public by the group in which they can be seen reading their final wills before launching the attack.

In a leaflet published along with the video, the group dedicates the attack to the Al Aqsa Mosque, Arab terror prisoners held in Israel, and Osama bin Laden.

The terrorists killed one person before being killed themselves.

The prospect of missile attacks on major Israeli cities seemed outlandish before the 2005 Disengagement from Gaza, but Israel has since grown used to such attacks. The government did not declare anything resembling a state of emergency Tuesday and the prime minister found time to doodle.

Killed Friday in a clash with a Palestinian terrorist, near Kissufim.
The Islamic Jihad says that it was one of its operatives who infiltrated Israel. The al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, said that their mission was to abduct an IDF soldier. According to available details, the incident took place at around 4 am, when the gunman, using the heavy fog covering the area, was able to reach the security fence, cut it and infiltrate Israel. A Golani force was scrambled to the area and engaged the terrorist, who opened fire. The terrorist – later identified as Ahmed abu Nasser, from the border village of Abassan – was killed. The gunfight left Moshiashvili, one of the force's medics, mortally wounded. IDF medics attempted to stabilize his condition, but he succumbed to his wounds.
 
Staff-Sergeant Moshiashvili will be laid to rest at the Ashkelon Military Cemetery at noon, Friday.

An Arab terrorist infiltrated Jerusalem's Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva at around 8:30  aThursday night of 4 years ago and murdered eight Jews. At least 10 students were wounded, including five in serious to critical condition.

Five of the dead were high school students in Merkaz Harav's Yeshiva LeTze'irim, and three studied in the upper-school Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva.

Terrorists caught after they try to enter Elon Moreh

Two knife-wielding terrorists who tried to infiltrate the Samaria community of Elon Moreh Monday morning have been caught.

At about 8:45 a.m., the outlook position at Elon Moreh identified two Arabs approaching the fence surrounding the community.

The Elon Moreh Security Coordinator arrived at the scene and the Arabs ran away to the nearby village of Azmut.

The security coordinator entered the village with a battalion-sized IDF force. The two terrorists were caught. An initial inquiry showed that they are residents of the Balata "refugee camp" and that they were armed with knives.

Samaria Regional Authority Head Gershon Mesika congratulated the Samaria Brigade Commander Col. Nimrod Aloni for the quick way in which the event was handled.

"The IDF outlooks' alertness and the alacrity of the IDF soldiers and the Elon Moreh Security Coordinator prevented a terror attack," he said.

 "The nation of Israel thanks the IDF's soldiers. 

It has been proven yet again that when the IDF is allowed to act determinedly, it can defeat terror."

Civilians begin patrolling roads of Judea

Fed up with the incessant rock-throwing attacks on motorists in Judea, Jewish residents of Kiryat Arba have begun patrolling the roads themselves, augmenting the IDF's efforts to maintain order. The patrols are coordinated with the IDF.

According to Chen Tohami, the initiative was born following the murder of Asher Palmer and his son Yonatan, whose car overturned after Arabs in an oncoming car threw a rock that hit Asher's head.

"We felt that we can no longer sit and see our brothers' blood being shed and remain at home," he told Arutz Sheva.

Tohami said that while IDF soldiers are present on the roads, it appears that they are not there in sufficient force to create deterrence. "The fact is that when you need, them they are not always there – that means the forces are not sufficient. It seems there is no deterrence. Maybe there is a policy that makes this situation possible," he added, hinting that the existence of "peace talks" with the local Arab leadership may be hindering effective action against the terrorists.

Tohami says that he hopes other communities will join the initiative.

The civilian patrols are usually manned by 10-20 residents at a time, said Tohami, although some patrols are smaller in size. The residents inform the IDF of every patrol. The patrols have not yet gone into action against rock throwers in real time. "When a situation like that occurs, we will do everything possible to protect Jews," Tohami said, preferring not to elaborate.

What Happened to Me on Tuesday Last

This past Tuesday, 28 Shvat – February 21, I was returning home to Karmei Tzur from Efrat where I work.

At the Gush Etzion Junction I collect a female hitchhiker who got into a back seat since the front passenger seat was where our infant seat was affixed.  What luck.  While traveling between El-Aroub and Bet-Omar on the ascent I noticed a car approaching from the opposite direction with a damaged front window from a rock that must have previously landed.  I naively presumed that that was the result of an old incident that hadn't yet been fixed.

When I came close to the gas station at Bet-Omar (a location that usually requires a driver's attention due to wrongly parked taxis, bypassing and pulling out into the highway in a careless manner) I observed a man running across the road from right to left.  I first thought that this was a soldier with a rifle and I slowed down to grasp what was happening.  I then noticed dozens of people, old, young and teenagers, congregating on my right.  It then became apparent that the "soldier with a rifle" was actually a photographer with a camera.  He was seeking a better picture angle to snap away at what was about to happen.  On my left were at least two other photographers, waiting for the action.  I should emphasize that I was not the first victim and other cars had already been stoned and so these press photographers were well aware what was happening and was about to happen to me.  None of them, it seems, thought to call for assistance from the police or IDF, none of whom were present.

Since the release of 1,027 terrorists from Israeli prisons in October, the health of many of their victims has sharply declined.
Last Wednesday night, Benny Firstatter passed away. Benny's daughter Smadar was murdered in 2003 in the bus 37 suicide bombing in Haifa. Benny used his experience as a senior attorney on the Haifa police force in the successful fight to prevent the perpetrators of the bombing from entering a plea bargain to reduce their jail sentences. Benny was in a poor psychological state ever since his daughter was murdered, but when several

Then, over the weekend we lost Yaacov Kinarti of Ofra, whose life largely was spent tending his son Dvir after the boy was severely wounded in a 2008 terrorist attack on a road in the Binyamin region. Yaacov was a respected veteran educator and took part in a number of Almagor public relations activities.
This is in addition to a bereaved relative who committed suicide months ago in response to the release of "his" murderers from prison.
These deaths are reflective of many terror victims and bereaved relatives who since October have closed themselves up at home, severely depressed and unsure of what to do with themselves. The occurrence of various cancers and heart problems in the terror-stricken population is remarkably high. In addition to their frustration and anger at the release of the terrorists, they suffer from bouts of deep depression and hopelessness, and feel betrayed by an Israeli society which seems indifferent to their plight. Meir Indor, director of Almagor, and a son of Holocaust survivors, compares their pain and despair to Holocaust survivors who couldn’t find peace of mind as long as Nazi war criminals walked around free. He says that dozens of bereaved victims managed to overcome their feelings of anger and despair by actively participating in the Almagor public campaign to keep the terrorists in jail, but when the killers went free, their faith in life was shattered.
The Almagor Terror Victims Association would be pleased to provide you with interviews and information on this topic. It is our view that the well-being of the victims of terror has not been given its due in the public discourse since the Shalit abduction in 2006.

Daniel Pearl

Daniel Pearl was kidnapped , murdered and beheaded by terrorists in Pakistan in early 2002. People around the world, along with his pregnant wife and family, prayed for his release. Since then, he has been remembered as a symbol of hope: a man, a writer,  gifted musician and a JEW.

I am an IDF soldier like everyone else

Oren Almog says he serves in the IDF “like everyone else.”

There are a few differences: Terror cost him his eyesight and five relatives.

A suicide bombing attack at Haifa’s Maxim restaurant in 2003 killed 16 people in addition to Oren’s father, brother and other family members. He went blind while being treated for his wounds.

He obviously is exempt from the draft but insisted on enlisting in the armed forced and being like most other Israelis  and now he is a soldier n the IDF. He is a volunteer soldier in an intelligence unit, the name of which cannot be disclosed.

The Rabbi of Itamar, Rav Natan Chai, called upon the IDF to arrest the mother and aunt of the murderer following their praise for the atrocity.

"A situation in which Israel allows the murderer to be praised encourages the next murderer," he said. "A state cannot allow incitement to murder its citizens. The Shin Bet and IDF must act and arrest the people who praise the murders." 

The teenage terrorist and his partner in the massacre, another young member of the Awad clan, are members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). They were assisted by at least six others, four of them from their family.

Ten years ago this week, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, a young, successful, handsome man, was kidnapped and slaughtered by Islamic terrorists in Pakistan. His offense was being a Jew.
In the moments before Pearl was killed at the age of 38, he was videotaped saying bravely: “My father is Jewish, my mother is Jewish, I am Jewish.” In another segment Daniel said, “My family on my father’s side is Zionist.” In the third statement, he said, “My family follows Judaism. Back in the town of Bnei Brak there is a street named after my great-grandfather, Chaim Pearl, who was one of the founders of the town.”
Ten years after the murder, Daniel’s parents, Judea and Ruth Pearl, continue to speak about the pride Daniel took in their heritage, and they see him as a shining example of the best in the Jewish tradition.
