Amjad was convicted of all charges against him: Five counts of murder, two counts of weapons trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
The Samaria Military Court on Monday sentenced Amjad Awad, who was convicted for the murder of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar, to five life sentences and an additional seven years – a total of 132 years in prison.
Awad and his cousin Hakim brutally murdered Udi and Ruth Fogel and three of their children: Yoav (11) Elad (4) and four-month-old baby Hadas, last March.

"Vengeance over a child's spilled blood is one the devil himself has yet to devise," the prosecutor quoted Israel's national poet Hayyim Nahman Bialik in his sentencing arguments. "These words express how we feel in view of the defendant's heinous acts, the murders of three little children, including a baby, and their parents, in their own home."
The acts, the prosecution added, were those of "inconceivable, monstrous cruelty… Acts of primitive hatred that are beyond.
